NotiSummary

NotiSummary is an open-source Android app that lets people summarize their own notifications with GPT. The prototype supported our study of what makes a notification summary useful: not only brevity, but also timing, scope, control, and fit with the user’s situation.

My role: Project lead. I contributed to app development, led the interviews, conducted the main qualitative analysis, and led the writing of the resulting paper.

The app is a research prototype rather than a product I am currently asking people to install. Its code remains available for anyone interested in how the study was implemented.
